About Receiptly

Receiptly is a personal finance app built around one simple idea: your spending records should come from your receipts, not from a bank connection. Photograph a paper receipt, upload a photo or a file, paste the text of an email, or connect a read-only mailbox, and Receiptly reads the merchant, the date, the total, the tax and the line items for you. You check what was read, fix anything that looks wrong, and save it. No spreadsheet, no typing every purchase in by hand, and no bank credentials handed over.

Everything else in the app grows out of those saved purchases. Monthly budgets per category and one overall limit, a calendar of what you spent and what is still coming, recurring subscriptions, bills with reminders before they fall due, savings goals, refunds, and a data check that rebuilds your totals so you can see at a glance that the numbers line up. There is also a light reward layer: XP, a level and a streak that grows when you keep your records up to date.

Receiptly is made for people who want an accurate picture of their money without connecting a bank account or committing an evening a week to a spreadsheet. Students, freelancers, households on a fixed budget and anyone tracking cash purchases all get the same benefit: capture it once, and the totals take care of themselves.

The app is built and maintained by a small independent team. It is funded by the people who use it rather than by selling financial data, and your records stay yours: you can export a copy of everything at any time, and delete your account and its data whenever you choose.
